Yahoo! debuts Windows Vista messaging client betaFor those of you staying true to Windows Vista, there are a few good alternatives available in the way of instant messaging clients. Yahoo!, maker of a popular instant messaging client among other things, has just released a new beta for Windows Vista, and there are a couple new perks that should entice instant messaging addicts everywhere.

According to CNET News, Yahoo! is releasing the beta of version 9 with a few noteworthy upgrades. Most importantly, the new version will do computer to computer voice calls and can send and receive calls to cell phones also. For all those qwerty jockeys out there, you’ll be pleased to know the new beta also does SMS messaging, to and fro of course.

One of the cooler features of the new instant messaging build is called, “Voice Visualizations.” Taking advantage of the awesome graphical power built into Vista (no giggles, please), the visualization functions like any other graphical visualizer you’d find in a media player, it seems, but hey – it does make things interesting.

Of course, there are more popular and better-rounded instant messaging clients, a few of which will allow you to access different instant messaging platforms with the same application, but the features being presented with this beta build certainly are unique and appealing.

The new and exciting Vista toilet is finally here. Here are some innovative features…

You need a password to flush. You are asked again if it is safe to flush, this is good as it helps prevents the toilet backing up.

It takes 25 gallons of water to flush, this insures the bowl is totally flushed.

It takes 10 minutes to complete the flush (some things can’t be rushed) this insures a complete flush.

You will need new fittings and pipings to fit the toilet in the space that the old toilet sat because of the unique design.

Consumers and landlords are against the new toilet as the old toilet worked fine. But the big box home improvement stores and plumbers are behind the Vista toilet as it will make the experience more luxurious.

The older toilets will be taken off the market, and only the Vista toilets will be available thus enraging many as the new Vista toilets are slower, use more water and much more expensive than the older more efficient toilets.

Stay tuned as this story won’t easily wash away.

Unfortunately the other alternative, the Mac toilet, is only compatible with bottled water from Apple. In order to replace a part, the toilet needs to be sent back to Apple for their engineer’s to crack the lid and replace the ball and chain.

But the good news is at least it looks pretty, and “just works”. Sadly, not with much.
