Windows 7 on track for 2009 release

By Jonathan Schlaffer

Windows 7 on track for 2009 release Microsoft isn’t know for being reliable when it comes to announcing when its products will be ready to ship.  But, indications are good that the minor restructuring the company has gone through is for the better and has announced, Windows 7 is on track, if not slightly ahead of schedule.

TGDaily reports that Windows 7 was scheduled for an early 2010 release but is now looking like Microsoft will be able to release the successor to Vista a few months early.  Windows 7 may ship in late 2009.

One of the changes present in the operating system is its ability to handle multiple graphics cards installed at the same time, called the “heterogeneous graphics system.”  This means an ATi and nvidia graphics card could be installed in the same system, at the same time and operate independently of each other.

There is also something about new touchscreen features as well as the new MinWin kernel which was developed specifically for Windows 7 and occupies little more than 40MB of memory while running.

Hopefully, with the new kernel, Windows 7 will have a smaller memory footprint than Windows Vista does.  But there are likely to be comprises along the way such as requiring a more powerful processor, graphics card or both but we’ll all know more when the RC and beta versions are unleashed to testers.

Windows Vista wasn’t at all what Microsoft had hoped for and hopefully Windows 7 will fix that.  Also, here’s hoping that it won’t cost as much or ship in as many versions so as not to confuse consumers.

Yeah, and if windows 7 screws up, Microsoft will announce Windows ‘x” in a few months or years. Way to go Microsoft.
I think we will need powerful supercomputers to run Windows in the future.

I agree with katpodzilla. We need check out around late 2009 and on 2010 to see how Windows 7 running good or worst. I want Windows 7 Operating System pull all oldest/newest PC games(Windows 95 to XP, and Vista games on Windows 7 to make work very great! No more complaint in the future. We want all these old programs back without problems! Like AIM 5.5, Word 2000 to 2003, and other older softwares will work on Windows 7 Operating System. I hope for that! Microsoft need test Windows 7 speed which will beat XP or Vista at Full speed and use little memory RAM and Hard drive space about 500% time faster than XP and 250% time Faster than Vista. Let all 3 Operating System(Windows XP, Vista, and Seven) to battle together! Which one Operating System will win? Let time running into 2009 and 2010 to see what happen.

My guess/opinion that system require for Windows 7:

Intel Pentium 4 (1.5GHz or higher)
      512 MB RAM or more
1 to 7 GB Hard Drive Space (random)
32 MB Video Card(ATI or Nvidia) or more

Rare Software: Boost performances inside with Windows Seven OS to load fastest boot time and shut down fastest than XP and Vista in no time! (About more than 500% and over 1000% performance include)

Bonus: Windows 7 recovery CD to allow you reset Windows 7 to back normal, like crash, missing files, viruses, etc. Stay fresh and keep Windows 7 clean and extreme smoother.

Not sure Windows 7 OS will be on CD or DVD.

Windows Seven maybe will kill Windows XP/Vista away! Wait and see. I wish want to heard from that. I will be glad to heard from NEWS! :-)
