Free Windows+Tab/Alt+Tab replacement for Vista

By Jonathan Schlaffer

Free Windows+Tab/Alt+Tab replacement for Vista If you’ve been looking for a Windows+Tab or Alt+Tab replacement for Windows Vista, this free utility might just do the trick and mimics the Expose feature of Mac OSX.

Switcher does just what it says, allows you to switch between your open applications by showing you a thumbnail view of each one by tiling them across your screen according to preferences you set in the program.

It’s also lightweight and not too resource intensive.  The program does not have an installer, run it and go.

Settings can be customized to user preference and there are several options on how it "tiles" the windows.  It even has a search feature if you can’t find the open application you are looking for.

Almost every aspect of it can be customized, however, Vista Basic users will be left out in the cold as it requires Aero Glass to run.  Vista Home Premium or above is required.

All the little bells and whistles in the world won’t distract me from the fact that Vista is awful.
