Vista SP1 changes detailed by Microsoft

By Jonathan Schlaffer

Vista SP1 changes detailed by Microsoft Microsoft promised a version of SP1 would be released to the public before the end of the year and ready or not, next week every “average Joe” user will have the ability to install it.

Just ahead of the public beta of SP1, Microsoft has released a very detailed document, outlining the changes that will be coming in Vista SP1.  Some of the items have been talked about before so not all of it will be new but a great majority of it will.

The company notes that some items in the list are still in development and will not be part of the public beta and instead will only be available in the final version or possible future beta updates.

One notable change includes support for UEFI (unified extensible firmware interface) which is the replacement for the aging BIOS (basic input output system).  All modern Apple computers use the EFI instead of a BIOS.

The list goes on and on, most of our readers would probably get bored reading it all so for the sake of my and your sanity, if you want to see all the changes, Microsoft is more than happy to provide it.
