System builders celebrate Microsoft with Vista holiday bundles

By Jonathan Schlaffer

System builders celebrate Microsoft with Vista holiday bundles Some custom system builders have a little bit of a problem with Vista, no one wants to buy it but it is included with new computers but that doesn’t stop people from wiping it with Windows XP.  They may not be able to keep customers as Vista users but have come up with an idea to move those computers preinstalled with Vista.

ZDnet talks about the deals involving system builders or “white box” PC vendors that build custom systems are offering up some bundles to increase the uptake of Vista.

Microsoft is working with its system builder partners to create holiday bundles that include an enhance experience for gamers to photo editors.  Systems centered around digital photography will come with a photo-printer and gaming systems with ship with a wireless gaming router.

All computers will ship with Vista.  Once the copy of Vista is validated as genuine, users will receive several Bonus Pack Rebate codes that can be used to reduce the cost of the system and bundled hardware or software packages.

In addition, builders are encouraged to offer up Windows Home Server, Live OneCare and Office products as part of these deals as well.
