Website states that using Mac OSX Leopard is the same as using Vista

By Jonathan Schlaffer

mac_osx_leopard There is a person out there that isn’t so happy with his experience on Leopard.  He says that he gave it a chance but states that, “it’s pretty clear, this is not a good operating system release.”

I wouldn’t have gone that far.  The Mac operating system has always impressed me with its ease of use and reliability and there are better, more sane ways of defeating Leopard, if it must be done.

The article calls Leopard, “like Windows” and says things like “it’s that unpleasant to use.”  Is it?  I don’t think so.  Yes, Leopard has its share of problems but the post goes beyond those problems and makes issues out of every little hiccup it has.

Probably the largest issue surrounding Leopard right now is the supposed, blue screen of death that is present.  This has been traced down to a single program that is not compatible with Leopard when performing an upgrade from Tiger.

Let me say this right now, with Windows, Mac OSX or any other operating system it is always best to wipe the hard drive clean and install the operating system fresh and clean.

I’ve never performed an upgrade with Windows and if I were a Mac user, I probably wouldn’t do it there either.  Just make sure to backup your data beforehand.

Every operating system has problems, every single one and that includes Linux (despite what some might say).  Leopard isn’t that bad in the grand scheme of things, it’s probably as near perfect as an operating system can get, if only Apple could solve its hardware problems but that’s another post for another time.
