Microsoft doesn’t list Vista on crash report survey

By Jonathan Schlaffer

Microsoft doesn't list Vista on crash report survey When it comes to reporting errors, especially with Vista, even the most advanced user is going to have some kind of problem with a fledgling operating system but when the error reporting service is flawed, something is very wrong at the company.

Microsoft has decided that Vista doesn’t have any problems and if you decide to manually fill out the online form you will discover that Vista is not one of the choices.

PCPro somewhat jokingly states that “either Microsoft’s support staff have sloppily forgotten to add Vista to the online support forms, or else they truly believe the operating system is invincible.”

I very much doubt that, I bet even Bill Gates has issues with it, only he doesn’t have to sit for hours at home on hold with Microsoft Support.  Either that, or good ol’ Bill still uses Windows XP.

There are only guesses and suppositions as to why Vista isn’t listed and none of them seem to be very likely, at least in my eyes.  You could say (and PCPro did) that Microsoft is lazy, you could say that the company thinks Vista is the best damn OS on the planet (and they probably do) but neither reason is good enough for me.
