Office 2007 could be outselling Vista

By Jonathan Schlaffer

Office 2007 could be outselling Vista Microsoft is more than happy to talk sales figures regarding Vista but when it comes to Office products, not so much.  But, new information points out that Office 2007 might be outselling Vista.

According to information gathered by ZDnet, the French press found out from Microsoft France in a briefing that Office may have sold 70 million copies.  Current data suggests that 60 million copies of Vista has been sold.

Keep in mind that these figures pertain to retail copies as well as OEM copies that may or may not be in use.  The official line from the company is, “It’s not our policy to confirm the license figures.”  I suppose not, but it seems Microsoft France is leaking, someone might want to tighten those pipes.

Even if the data isn’t exactly spot-on then Vista and Office 2007 are at least even with each other.
