Corel releases Vista Certified Ulead VideoStudio 11Corel has announced its latest versions of consumer video editing and DVD authoring software has been Certified for Windows Vista. The Ulead VideoStudio 11 now available in two versions, the ‘regular’ and ‘Plus’ version, enhanced the previous version.

“The previous version of our software Ulead VideoStudio 10, was the industry’s first video editing software package to be Certified for Windows Vista,” said Blaine Matieu, Corel’s Vice President and General Manager told Bootdaily.

“Continuing this outstanding support of Microsoft’s new operating system, we have ensured that consumers and OEMs can be confident that VideoStudio 11 will maintain its lead as a premier choice in video editing/authoring, and that all of the powerful new features that were added to this latest release will deliver the same performance and unmatched ease of use they have come to expect from this impressive offering,” Matieu added.

Microsoft for its part said, “This highlights Corel’s commitment to providing its customers with higher-quality applications that deliver a more secure, reliable and compatible experience with Windows Vista.”

In addition to full 32- and 64-bit Windows Vista support, Ulead VideoStudio 11 offers enhanced DV-to-DVD Wizard and Movie Wizard features. The software can produce video, slideshows, and DVD with Dolby Digital sound.

Ulead VideoStudio 11 can also support for the new AVCHD camcorders available on the market, and real time editing of HDV files, which makes the software at par with other similar video editing applications with the widest format support.

The software can be used to capture video from virtually any video source such as DV camcorders, hard drive camcorders (MOD file format), digital and analog TV tuners, mobile phones, set-top DVD recorders, VCRs and webcams.
